Grandma Dot's Brown Gravy

This is Grandma Bertotti's spaghetti SAUCE, which the Italians call GRAVY. I like to double or triple the recipe and freeze the extra for pasta emergencies! Italian Secrets. . . Grandma Dot said to finish off with Romano cheese and only use Del Monte tomato paste. Served with a light tossed salad, sour dough bread and Dago Red - Buon Appetito!

Ingredients

  • (One pound) Hole-In-One Ranch Ground Beef
  • (One pound) Hole-In-One Ranch Ground Pork
  • (one half, chopped) Large Onion
  • (2 cloves, pressed) Garlic
  • (4 (8oz) cans) Del Monte Tomato Sauce

I don't want to mess with anything!

Begin to brown 2 pounds Hole-In-One Ranch meat beef and/or pork.
Add 1/2 a large onion (chopped) and 2 cloves of pressed garlic.
Cook lots - brown until the beef is crispy dark brownand sizzles.
Add 4 little cans Del Monte tomato sauce. Clean each can with 1/2 can of water and pour into pot with meat.
Add about a tablespoon or more oregano, a little less crushed rosemary; salt and pepper to taste.
Simmer it for a while.

Enjoy with pasta of your choice!
